What is the film about?
As the title suggests the film is about a journey that ends in a tragedy.
Tragedy, does that mean it’s very heavy with strong emotional content? Films like these bore me and test my patience if not done right?
This is a tragedy and the director has made it very clear in the promos itself. Also the film opens with an accident so one shouldn’t be surprised to hear that word.
Now coming to the second part of the question this is a film that gets the tragedy right. The film has two slice of the life like love stories, something that’s very rare in today’s movies and they are presented in a humorous way. There is never a dull moment in the love stories and one is immediately connected to them.
If a tragedy evokes the right feeling without causing boredom it has to be a really good film with good performances? Is it that good?
Yes it is.
Who’s the director of the film?
It is directed by M. Saravanan and he has done a wonderful job in presenting the love stories. He is also credited with the screenplay of the film which too is one of the main strengths of the film.
And, what about the performances?
The film rests on four main characters portrayed excellently by Sharwanand, Jai, Ananya and Anjali. But it’s the female cast that dominate the film more than the male one. It’s a film where heroines are the show stealer s.
Music in these kinds of films is very important how is the music in the film here?
Music is given by a newcomer Sathya C and he has given good music for the film but it’s the background music that’s more effective and helps in creating the mood for the film.
Other technical crew
Cinematography by Velraj makes the film look rich and doesn’t give the film a low budget movie kind of feel. Editing during the accident sequences by Kishore is very good.
Any negatives?
The only negatives that comes to mind are the lack of nativity initially which then results in the other negative that is, it takes time to get attached to the character and hence making the film feel slow during the first hour of the film.
Special mention.
A special mention must be made here for presenter Suresh Kondeti. He must be appreciated for bringing these kind of realistically made films that are entertaining too at the same time to the audience of Telugu cinema. But he must control his over enthusiastic plug-ins in the film though.
Bottom-line:
Watch it if you love, love stories and love stories with realistic humor.
