The first show of Bezawada was held tonight at Prasads labs in Hyderabad and here is the exclusive report on the film. Bezawada is made more as a revenge story between two families and it could be set anywhere in Andhra Pradesh only that this film is set in Vijayawada to get that extra vibe and hype due to the local politics and rivalry that’s been in the city from ages. Few characters and scenes are made to resemble that ‘real’ people but overall those characters don’t fall into any ‘real’ narrative associated with the city.
On the whole the film seems to be a superficial attempt at cashing in on the sentiments of a particular area by having random ‘real’ life characters as part of the film but without any connection to the actual reality. It’s just a regular revenge flick made in Boyapati Sreenivas style with heavy dose of gore and violence and more gore and violence. Naga Chaitanya is just absent in the first half; in the second half he takes the charge but fails to create any sort of impact although all the scenes pretty much give him the scope to have heroism. Once the initial curiosity subsidizes the film will fizzle out.For people who are curious to know if this film is better than Dhada or not this is better.
