Finally after going through a lot of films which included the likes of Eega, 7aum Arivu (7th Sense), Vazhakku Enn 18/9 (Premalo Padithe), Paan Singh Tomar, Barfi has been selected as the official Indian entry to the Oscars this year. With this selection Barfi has joined the illustrious group of films like Mother India, Madhumati, Guide, Anjali, Indian, Jeans, Lagaan, Devdas, Paheli etc to name a few which have been sent to Oscars as India’s official selection.
Among the films sent so far only three films Mother India, Salaam Bombay and Lagaan have made it to the final five list of the Oscars. Lets hope and wish Barfi to be the fourth film in that category.
